Bishop Melvin A. Brooks and Pastor Yvonne Brooks have been joyfully married for over 45 years, leading and serving together as a powerful couple in ministry. Bishop Brooks is the Senior Pastor of New Jerusalem Community Church and the Deputy Presiding Bishop of Jabula Europe and Asia. He is known for his passion for leadership, community transformation, and spiritual growth, using his gifts as an international speaker, mentor, and author to impact lives. His deep love for the church and the people is evident in every area of his service, ensuring that the church is an active and positive force in the community.

Pastor Yvonne Brooks, the First Assistant Pastor, complements Bishop’s ministry with her own dynamic gifts. As a Behavioral Consultant and Mental Health Nurse, Pastor Yvonne’s unique ability to connect with people and help them find healing and restoration is unparalleled. She is also the founder of Women of Purpose Ministries, where she inspires women to step into their divine purpose. Together with Bishop, she co-authored a pre-marital counseling manual, helping couples build strong foundations for their marriages. Their passion for family and marriage is a cornerstone of their ministry, and they have been instrumental in supporting couples through counseling and seminars across the UK.

The Brooks' family is deeply involved in ministry: their daughter Rebecca, who serves as the worship leader, is married to Patrick and they have a daughter, Jade; their son Adam, the head of the music ministry, has a daughter, Maya; and their youngest son Matthew, a gifted drummer, is married to Monique and they have two children, Zion and Haven. Together, they exemplify what it means to live a life centered on faith and family.
